I teach Chair Yoga, Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, Vinyasa Flow, Meditation + Pranayama. What makes my classes different is not just the style, but the structure.

My teaching is trauma-informed, neurodiversity affirming and hypermobility-friendly. Rather than asking you to fit yourself to the class, I encourage you to adapt the practice to suit your body and brain.

Everything is optional and invitational. There is no pressure to push, perform or keep up. My classes are designed to foster a sense of belonging so that you can practise in a way that feels steady, supported and sustainable.

Accessible Yoga Through The Seasons - Online Series

Cultivating a Slow, Steady Practice with 1 weekly live class over 4 weeks, and optional additional pre-recorded practices in between!

The theme of these classes will be unwinding, taking time to relax, move and breathe as we gently emerge into Summer!

Summer Solstice is 21st June, so we’ll be moving towards the longest day of the year together, taking time to connect with ourselves, our bodies, our inner wisdom, as the Spring guides us towards Summer.

4 weekly Thursday sessions from 7th May

4:30 - 5:30 pm

This class at Body Image Fitness is themed on the season of returning sunlight. Each session we'll begin with a short grounding practice at the start, then move through a warm-up and flowing sequence which can include some slow strength elements. We’ll always close with a guided relaxation. The pace is spacious, steady, and adaptable.

Body Image Fitness is an inclusive community and weight-neutral space where every BODY is welcomed and cherished.

Sunday Deep Rest Yoga Class

Sundays - 31st May & 5th July

You can come pay as you go, drop-in, buy a class pack or membership with the gym to get involved with their huge range of inclusive fitness classes in Heaton, Newcastle.

This class takes place at Body Image Fitness.

Restorative Yoga is a deeply restful practice using props to fully support the body, allowing you to release layers of holding and settle into doing less, not more. With longer-held postures, gentle breath awareness, and spacious pauses, this practice invites your nervous system to shift into a relaxed state.

10 - 11 am

Neuro-Inclusive Yoga Class

Mondays - 11th May, 1st June & 6th July

6 - 7 pm, at Mindful Therapies in Newcastle

While all of my classes are neuro-inclusive and stim friendly, this class is a collaboration with a local organisation for neurodivergent adults called Stim Cafe. Stim cafe creates spaces for the neurodivergent community where unmasking is actively encouraged, welcomed, and embraced.

You can choose from our box of stim toys/ sensory aids or bring your own, and the class will support you to learn about yoga in an accessible way.

Spring Yoga Nidra Guided Relaxation

This 16 minute Yoga Nidra practice is a gentle guided relaxation themed around Spring, designed to support deep rest and renewal. As nature begins to stir after Winter, this practice invites you to soften, release effort, and simply be. Woven throughout are reflections on the changing season, from the quiet resilience of snowdrops to the growing warmth of longer days.

In a bid to save more gifts from ending up in landfill - I’m offering an experience that can be gifted! My 1:1 personalised yoga class gift is priced at £75. This allows me the extra time to get to know the person’s needs and design the class specifically around them.

 FAQs

  • No worries! Some classes I offer may not be Beginner friendly such as the Dynamic Yoga at The Stables in York. But most of my offerings are suitable for beginners. I usually offer a range of options and encourage people to do what’s right for them. If you’re really not sure then you could always book a 1-1 with me first to get to grips with some of the basics or attend a beginners course near you.

  • Prenatal Yoga can offer many benefits for both parent and baby! You might want to go to a Yoga class especially for pregnancy or you’re very welcome to join any of my classes. Just be sure to let me know so I can adapt and offer you variations. As always, check with your healthcare provider first.

  • Something you will never see with my Yoga teaching style is affiliate links promoting big expensive corporate Yoga wear brands! Please join class in whatever makes you feel most comfortable - that’s what I’ll be doing! Blocks, straps and bolsters can be helpful props but when practicing from home online you can always just use cushions and things you have handy in the house.

  • Trauma-informed classes and content reject a one-size-fits-all approach. I teach yoga to support choice, consent, and agency. If you need to leave the room, take a break or fidget in meditation that is totally allowed! I continuously update my training to understand the impact of Trauma and how Yoga can support Trauma recovery. Read more about what trauma-informed yoga is on my blog.
